If you are looking for a community of faith, know that
the First Baptist Church of Evans welcomes you to learn more about us. Feel
free to call the church office, or better still, bring your family
to worship with us and meet some of our good folks.
One way FBC Evans may be distinctive is that we try as
often as possible to bring together people of all ages. We feel it's important
for our spiritual and social lives that young children, teens, and adults of
all ages have opportunities to enjoy each other's company and learn from one
another in a safe environment. We do have separate classes for young children,
and we offer childcare for preschoolers during our worship services. We also
offer opportunities for children and teens, as well as senior adults, to learn
and have fun just among their peers. But as often as possible we try to cross
generational lines and help folks of different ages be together in worship,
learning, and ministry. Why do we feel this is important? Here are a few
- Children get to grow up as part of the whole
church family, not always segregated among their peers. They get many
opportunities to see and be loved by older church family members and watch them
as they live their faith.
- Parents and children can be together in some
classes and projects if they wish.
- For families who live far away from extended
family, their children can find surrogate grandparents, aunts, uncles, and
cousins in the church family. Young parents can find mentors among older
adults. And senior adults who live far from their own grandchildren can befriend
the young ones in the church family.
Whether or not you're part of our church family, if we
can support you or your family in life's challenges, please know you're welcome
to call on us.
If you want to know more about the beliefs and practices of our church, our Membership Class will help you learn about us.Our Sunday Morning Bible Study offers classes for all ages from infants to senior adults. They meet at 9:30 a.m. You're invited to visit and join a class at any time.

Each of our Sunday Morning Bible Study groups is open to any person age 12 and older. We are intentionally setting aside divisions of age, gender, and marital status so we can learn from and minister to each other without allowing those differences to be a barrier. To find out more, call the church office or come to the Welcome Center on Sunday morning before 9:30 a.m.
Prayer and Bible study is the focus of our Wednesday evening gatherings at 6:30 PM.
Wednesday fellowship suppers,
featuring good food and conversation, are each Wednesday in Fellowship
Hall, serving from 5:30 to 6:10 p.m. The cost is $4.00 per person, or
$3.00 for children under age 10. Please call the church office by
Tuesday noon to make your reservations.
Our Senior Adult Ministry plans events, activities, meals, and trips for the enjoyment of anyone who considers him/herself to be a senior adult.
